About this Dive Site
Shark Tank is fairly a new dive spot but already one of the best dive sites in Male’ atoll especially for those seeking shark diving opportunities, here we have encountered up to 7 species of sharks including; Tiger Shark, Bull Shark, Great Hammer-head Shark, Spinner Shark and Lemon Sharks being common visitors while Silvertip Shark, Whitetip Reef Shark and Nurse Shark being rare encounters.
You can also see massive fever of Stingrays and Guitarfish, Bowmouth Guitarfish. This site is only for advanced open water divers since it can be fairly deep and waters can be murky depending on currents and tide, as well proper behavior should be maintained at all times while diving with big sharks such as the ones sighted here.
